Copyblogger Opens Up Their Rainmaker Platform

11 July 2016 by Remkus de Vries Leave a Comment

Oh, how time flies. Apparently it’s been two years since Copyblogger launched their Rainmaker platform. Transforming the already platform from an easier, more secure, and maintenance-free way to build a powerful (marketing) websites to now a complete digital marketing and sales solution.

The website aspects of the Rainmaker Platform have become a lot more powerful in the last couple of years. It’s now complemented by integrated email, marketing automation, an online course builder, podcasting and content optimization tools, and much more.

As of today Copyblogger opens up their Rainmaker Platform for everyone to test. If you, like many other people, have been curious what the hype is all about, but weren’t ready to commit to start paying before you fiddled with it, then now’s the time to see what’s behind the login.

Hosted Niche WordPress Sites

I’m curious to see where this step will take them, but I’m guessing it will be an even more bright future. Creating a niche version of WordPress.com, where everything with regards to WordPress hosting, and WordPress updates is taken care of. It makes a lot of sense to me as it allows you, as a content publisher to focus on just creating content and optimizing that content with the tools Rainmaker provides.

Come to think about it, you have to wonder why no-one else has jumped into creating a similar niche and created a highly optimized environment. WordPress.com currently focusses on personal blogs or business sites (though I’m sure WooCommerce powered eCommerce sites will follow suit), but I can’t think of any other company creating similar experiences like Automattic does with WordPress.com and Copyblogger with their Rainmaker Platform.

Be sure to check out Rainmaker and we’d love to hear your thoughts.
